What is RU Mew?

RU Mew is a collaborative project that combines the talents of a team of passionate and dedicated individuals, each with their own unique skills and expertise. The project is focused on developing engaging and immersive content that provides insight into the world of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, as told from my perspective as the author and creator, Mew.
At the heart of RU Mew is the belief in the power of storytelling. Our goal is to construct narratives through the Mew Reviews a that encapsulate the essence of being here at the largest college in New Jersey. Whether it's through the vivid images captured by our talented photographer Oshawott, the aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly site brought to life by our web designer Jirachi, or the eloquently articulated content refined by our meticulous editor Snorlax, every element of our work is thoughtfully crafted to tell a story.
History
RU Mew was born out of the simple idea to showcase the unique and diverse experiences of Rutgers University-New Brunswick through the eyes of an insider. Our journey started in Fall 2021 when I (Mew) gathered some of my friends together to help me accomplish my vision. Together, we use this platform to share the insider knowledge of Rutgers, in a way that has never been done before. Being that the project is new and fresh, we're anticipatory for the journey ahead, and thrilled to have you with us! We appreciate all of our readers. Thank you for your support. Why RU Mew?
RU Mew is unlike any other blog. It is hyper niche, and its specificity is all a part of its appeal. RU Mew's focal point is the reviews—the Mew Reviews—and the gallery. Each Mew Review and each image in the gallery collection & visual essay provides a unique, insider's perspective on the various aspects of Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Furthermore, my personal experiences and observations are woven into all of my work, providing a richer, more nuanced understanding of the university's culture, events, and places.
Meet Our Team!
Hello, everyone! I am the author and creator Mew! As part of the author and creator of the RU Mew team, I am heavily involved in various aspects of the project. My responsibilities range from authoring content, organizing tasks, and coordinating with other team members to ensure the smooth execution of our project. I play a pivotal role in steering the direction of the project, coordinating tasks, and ensuring that everyone's efforts synergistically contribute towards our common goal. Through the collective effort and support of my other team members, I am to bring RU Mew to fruition.
As our team's talented photographer, Oshawott has a keen eye for capturing stunning visuals that play a crucial role in bringing our project to life. Each image he takes carries a piece of our story, and his talent ensures that they are communicated effectively to our audience. You can check out his work here!

Collaborations
Sheriff Steve is a recurring collaborator with RU Mew. In our collaborations, Steve has joined me (Mew) on my adventures off-campus to wander through the beautiful city of New Brunswick. He provides insight into which off-campus locations we should explore. As a longtime local resident in the city of New Brunswick, Sheriff Steve has an excellent repertoire of hidden gems throughout his hometown. Sheriff Steve also makes music, which you can check out here!
Connie the Cat is another recurring collaborator with RU Mew. Connie is one of the cool kids, for sure! She knows about every single fun event that is going within a 5-mile radius. From basement shows to club meetings, Connie knows it all! She can also navigate through any of the four different campuses (College Ave, Cook-Douglass, Livingston, Busch) with impressive ease.
